Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring a smooth kitchen operation. Ideal candidates will have a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering excellent food service to our guests. Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining consistency and presentation
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety guidelines
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene
- Support the kitchen team during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Assist in inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supplies needed
- Ensure all food served meets quality standards and customer expectations
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety regulations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and positive attitude
- Basic understanding of serving and meal presentation standards
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to kitchen procedures
- Food handling certification or willingness to obtain certification is a plus
