Job Title: Café Server
Company Description: Fuwa Fuwa is renowned for its handcrafted Japanese soufflé pancakes and has grown into North America's largest dessert café chain.
Role Description: The café server is a part-time, on-site role based at the Fuwa Fuwa café in Langley, BC. This role supports daily café operations by assisting with food preparation for Japanese soufflé pancakes and other menu items, ensuring recipes and presentation standards are met. The Food and Beverage Assistant helps with food service tasks such as plating, serving orders, managing queues, and maintaining cleanliness in the service and dining areas. The role includes greeting guests, taking orders, processing payments, answering menu questions, and providing friendly, efficient customer service. This team member also follows food safety and hygiene guidelines, restocks supplies, and collaborates with colleagues to maintain smooth, high-quality café operations during peak and off-peak hours.
Qualifications:
- Strong skills in food preparation and food & beverage operations, with attention to quality, consistency, and food safety.
- Experience in food service, including order handling, serving, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Proven customer service skills, with a focus on creating a welcoming, positive guest experience in a fast-paced setting.
- Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with guests, teammates, and supervisors.
- Ability to work flexible part-time shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong teamwork, reliability, and time management abilities; able to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks.
- Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or food service environment is an asset but not required.
- Knowledge of basic food hygiene and safety practices; food handler certification is an advantage.
Pay Transparency:
Salary Range: $18.25 per hour.
