Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tire Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, mechanical knowledge, and excellent customer service skills. This role involves performing tire replacements, repairs, and related maintenance tasks to ensure vehicle safety and optimal performance. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is highly valued, and familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance procedures is essential. The Tire Technician will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our customers while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace tires on various vehicle makes and models using appropriate hand tools and power tools
- Perform wheel alignments, balancing, and other tire-related services
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify additional maintenance or repair needs
- Assist customers by explaining tire options, services offered, and addressing any questions or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed during tire service procedures
- Assist with general automotive maintenance tasks as needed
- Promote sales of tires and related products to meet customer needs
Requirements
- Prior dealership or mechanic experience preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and tire technology
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance equipment
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) frequently throughout the shift
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes and safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license required; clean driving record preferred
