Treasurer (Incoming) – Volunteer Position
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Board of Directors as Treasurer (Incoming). This role offers a unique opportunity to work alongside our current Treasurer, gaining hands-on experience with our financial systems and processes.
Term & Transition:
- Early 2026: Serve as Treasurer (Incoming), supporting and collaborating with the current Treasurer.
- 2026 onward: Opportunity to assume the full Treasurer role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with reviewing monthly financial reports, budgets, and statements
- Support oversight of financial policies, compliance, and reporting
- Help prepare annual budgets in collaboration with the Treasurer and Executive Director
- Monitor cash flow, funding allocations, and financial risk management
- Participate in annual audits and ensure timely submission of required filings
- Track grants and donor contributions to ensure proper allocation and reporting
- Provide clear financial updates at board meetings to support decision-making
- Contribute to strategic planning and long-term financial sustainability
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong organizational and financial management skills
- Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or nonprofit finance is an asset
- Commitment to the mission and values of our organization
Time Commitment: Approximately 5–8 hours/month, including board meetings
Pay: $10.00 per year
