Building Superintendent – Ottawa, Ontario

Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Building Superintendent to join our team at a 252-unit multi-residential apartment community in Ottawa, Ontario.
The successful candidate will be a motivated, dependable, and customer-focused individual who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming property. You are a self-starter who works well independently and collaboratively, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and is committed to providing outstanding service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of common areas, hallways, and building entrances.
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents, including cleaning and minor repairs.
- Respond to maintenance requests and perform minor plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs.
- Complete seasonal exterior maintenance, including groundskeeping and winter maintenance.
- Address resident concerns promptly, professionally, and courteously.
- Foster positive relationships with residents by providing excellent customer service.
- Show available suites to prospective residents.
- Help ensure the safety and security of residents and the property.
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations and participate in the on-call rotation.
- Maintain required building records, including fire safety and winter maintenance logs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Property Manager.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in residential property management or building maintenance is considered an asset.
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, and basic carpentry.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
