SMB Counselling Group is a client-centred private practice located in Bedford, Nova Scotia. Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Mental Health Clinician (RCT-C, RCT, RP, MSW, LP, PsyD, PhD) to join our growing clinical team. The ideal candidate has a strong record of providing exceptional therapy to individuals, couples, families, etc. (Training/interest in EMDR or Couples Therapy is a strong asset).

Must have a Master of Counselling degree (or equivalent) and be willing to work in person.
Please note: this is a contractor position.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to the needs of each client.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
- Maintain licensure and uphold all ethical, legal, and documentation standards.
- Attend staff meetings, training, or case consultations if needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Must have a Master's degree in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
- Valid license as a Mental Health Therapist or equivalent credential in the province of practice.
- Ability to provide in-person services.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on building rapport with clients and families.
- Must have 3 million practice and cyber insurance.
Preferred:
- Training and/or certification in EMDR.
- Experience in Couples Therapy.
