Duties
- Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment to uphold food safety standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as organizing ingredients and supplies for meal service
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, floors, and storage areas to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
- Support the food handling process by following proper sanitation procedures during meal prep and service
- Help with waste disposal and recycling efforts to keep the kitchen organized and environmentally friendly
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely setup and breakdown of dining areas during service hours
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling, cleaning procedures, and workplace safety
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Basic understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and efficiency
- Strong attention to detail when cleaning and organizing kitchen spaces
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Willingness to follow instructions carefully and adhere to health regulations
- Prior experience with cooking, meal preparation or general kitchen work is a plus but not mandatory
