Amherstview Drugs is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused, and motivated Pharmacist to join our independent community pharmacy team. The successful candidate will provide exceptional pharmaceutical care, ensure safe and accurate dispensing of medications, and build lasting relationships with patients while working collaboratively with our healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
Accurately review, verify, and dispense prescriptions.
Provide medication counselling and patient education.
Conduct medication reviews and prescribe for minor ailments (where authorized).
Administer injections and vaccinations.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Supervise and support pharmacy assistants and registered pharmacy technicians.
Ensure compliance with Ontario College of Pharmacists standards and all applicable legislation.
Manage workflow efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety.
Participate in inventory management and quality assurance initiatives.
Deliver exceptional customer service in a community pharmacy setting.
Qualifications:
Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
Authorization to administer injections (preferred).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Kroll pharmacy software is an asset.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Community pharmacy experience preferred but new graduates are welcome to apply.
