Zanon Speech Therapy is looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist to work with children from preschool to school age. We are looking for a creative, dynamic professional to add to the team to help with waitlist demands. Flexible hours with lots of potential for growth.
As a Zanon Speech Therapist, you would :

Enjoy the luxury of working in a friendly office centrally located between Kanata, Barrhaven, Greely, Manotick, Gloucester and Orleans

Spend more time and energy on therapy vs. paperwork, commuting, etc.

Flexible weekday, evening and/or weekend hours.
Responsibilities :
-
Provide Assessment and treatment to children with various communication disorders and speech challenges. The age range of children serviced is from toddler/preschool to school age, including teens with the potential to work with adults.

Communicate and collaborate with parents, as well as with CHEO/LHIN SLPs, teachers and Doctors as needed

Educate and train clients and families to support carryover of skills and collaborate in supporting the child

Provide timely documentation of therapy sessions, evaluation reports, progress reports and discharge documentation

Uphold the standards and ethics prescribed by CASLPO and/or SAC
-
The SLP(s) will be assuming an active caseload of approximately 5-20 active client hours (5 to 20 clients seen in a given week) depending on contract (flexible shcedule and hours)

Help tackle long waiting lists (in-person and virtual)

Multiple SLPs needed
Qualifications :
-
Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology from an accredited university program

Looking for Certified Speech Language Pathologist with experience as well as new grads welcome

Member in good standing with CASLPO registration; SAC certified is an asset
-
Professional liability insurance coverage of at least $2,000,000.00 per claim as per CASLPO by-laws
-
Experience working with children/youth with a ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and language disorders
- Experience assessing and providing treatment of receptive and expressive language impairments, articulation/phonological delays, stuttering

LIDCOMBE trained/certified an asset
-
PECS trained/certified asset
-
Experience with AAC an asset
-
Experience providing parent training
-
Able to work independently, organized, highly-motivated

Sound clinical judgment

Excellent time management and organization skills to manage a frequently changing caseload

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Flexible availability during afternoons, evenings and/or weekend hours
