Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Landscape Supervisor to lead our landscaping team in maintaining and enhancing outdoor environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of horticulture and landscape maintenance, and hands-on experience in irrigation, gardening, and construction. This role offers an opportunity to oversee projects, supervise staff, and ensure the highest standards of landscape quality across various sites.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily landscape maintenance activities, including mowing, trimming, planting, and pruning
- Oversee irrigation system installation, repair, and maintenance to ensure efficient water management
- Lead gardening and horticultural efforts to promote healthy plant growth and aesthetic appeal
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget
- Train and mentor team members on best practices in landscape care, safety procedures, and equipment operation
- Collaborate with clients and management to plan landscape designs and improvements
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards during all operations
- Oversee construction-related tasks such as installing hardscapes or new landscape features as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in supervising landscaping teams or projects with demonstrated leadership abilities
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, gardening techniques, horticulture principles, and landscape maintenance practices
- Construction experience is a plus for overseeing installation projects or hardscape work
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Ability to motivate team members and foster a collaborative work environment
- Valid driver’s license preferred for site visits and equipment transportation
- Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions, including lifting heavy materials when necessary
