Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Collision Centre Production Manager/Estimator to assist in overseeing daily operations and provide accurate vehicle damage assessments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair, dealership experience, and excellent customer service skills. This role involves managing repair workflows, estimating costs, and ensuring high-quality service delivery to meet customer expectations and company standards. Compensation shall depend on experience in the automotive industry.
Duties
- Lead and coordinate collision repair projects from intake to completion, ensuring timely and efficient workflow.
- Prepare detailed repair estimates using industry-standard software, accurately assessing vehicle damage and necessary repairs.
- Communicate effectively with customers, insurance adjusters, and team members to explain repair procedures and costs.
- Upsell additional services or repairs when appropriate to enhance customer satisfaction and business growth.
- Manage cash handling processes related to payments, deposits, and billing procedures.
- Supervise technicians and support staff, providing guidance on repair processes and quality standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of parts and supplies, coordinating with vendors as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies throughout all operations.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, estimates, and customer interactions for reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven automotive repair background preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex vehicle systems.
- Previous experience as an estimator or in a similar role within a collision center is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Sales experience with upselling techniques to maximize revenue opportunities.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Leadership skills with the capacity to manage a team effectively.
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes, parts ordering, and industry software tools such as Repair Centre, Mitchell Connect and Qapter is advantageous.
- A valid driver’s license is required; ASE certifications or relevant technical training are a plus.
Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
