Overview
We are expanding! Simba Investments Ltd. is seeking a Junior Carpenter to assist with building homes, renovating homes and commercial buildings and other construction projects. Our ideal candidate will take direction well, be self-motivated, reliable with a positive attitude, making them a good fit for our close Team. Arriving on site with basic tools and PPE.
Responsibilities
Included but not limited to:
- Ensure company policies are adhered to.
- Assist Lead Carpenters and Site Supervisors with daily tasks.
- Support construction projects according to schedules and priorities.
- Read and interpret basic drawings and measurements.
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately.
- Prepare and maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Load, unload, and transport materials and tools as required.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist with framing, finishing, installations, and general carpentry duties.
- Install fixtures, fittings, and construction materials on site.
- Work collaboratively with team members and subcontractors.
- Attend site meetings and participate in safety discussions.
- Maintain professionalism and positive communication with clients, suppliers, and coworkers.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to support a safe working environment, including safe operation of equipment.
- Participate in and demonstrate an understanding of safety principles and practices.
- Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns to the appropriate person.
- Wear required PPE and maintain safe work habits at all times.

Qualifications
- 1–2 years of construction or carpentry experience preferred.
- Experience in residential construction is considered an asset.
- Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
- Physically capable of lifting materials and performing manual labour tasks.
- Familiarity with safe work practices and job site safety requirements.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation considered an asset.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
