We are currently seeking a reliable, motivated, and safety-focused Class 1 & 5-Ton Driver to join our team.

The Role
- This position involves a mix of Class 1 and local delivery work
- Local and regional deliveries within Calgary and Alberta using 53 ft. reefer trailers
- No long-haul or overnight trips when operating Class 1 equipment (all trailer work is local and same-day return)
- When not doing Class 1 work, complete pickups and deliveries using 5-ton trucks, cargo vans, and other company vehicles
- Occasional overnight stays may be required when operating 5-ton or cargo van units for regional hotshot deliveries (rare and shared among drivers)
- Load and unload freight, verify shipments, and ensure cargo security
- Communicate with dispatch and provide timely delivery updates
- Assist with warehouse shipping/receiving and general operational support as needed
Schedule & Flexibility Requirements
- 8–13-hour shifts depending on volume
- Rotating schedule with primarily weekday work
- Flexible scheduling is required, with varying starting times based on operational requirements
- Evening shifts are infrequent and occur only when operational needs arise
- Weekend work only occurs when scheduled on the on-call rotation for urgent or hotshot deliveries
- Occasional on-call hotshot deliveries (shared across the team; overnights are rare and typically associated with 5-ton/van work)
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years Class 1 driving experience (verifiable)
- Valid Class 1 License with Air Brake Endorsement
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Ability to pass CCRC security clearance/background check
- Strong knowledge of Calgary and surrounding areas
- Comfortable driving in all weather and road conditions
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs
- Strong communication skills and professional customer service attitude
- Familiarity with logbooks, ELD systems, and dispatch apps
Assets
- 5-ton truck experience
- Experience with temperature-controlled freight / reefers
- Warehouse or forklift experience
- Mechanical aptitude
Additional Information
- Drivers rotate between Class 1, 5-ton, and van work
- Dash cameras are used as part of our safety and compliance program
- Internal driving assessment required prior to hiring
- Wage is negotiable based on experience and qualifications
