Shipping/Receiving & Delivery Driver
Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a reliable, motivated, and safety-conscious Shipping/Receiving & Delivery Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for the accurate receiving, inspection, storage, and shipment of products, as well as timely and professional delivery of materials to customers and vendors. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping & Receiving
- Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities and contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect incoming materials for damage and report discrepancies.
- Accurately prepare, package, and ship outgoing orders.
- Maintain organized inventory and warehouse storage areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment.
- Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment and safe handling procedures.
- Complete shipping and receiving documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Delivery Driver Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver products to customers, suppliers, and job sites.
- Load, secure, and transport materials safely and efficiently.
- Obtain delivery confirmations and maintain accurate delivery records.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Plan delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Represent the company professionally while interacting with customers and vendors.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record of 5 + Years
- Previous shipping, receiving, warehouse, or delivery experience preferred.
- Forklift certification is considered an asset (or willingness to obtain certification).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Basic computer skills and experience with inventory or shipping software is an asset.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- Combination of warehouse and driving duties.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, and standing.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions during deliveries.
