Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing food items, and managing transactions in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food preparation, cashiering, and maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Greet customers warmly and assist with menu selections, upselling additional items when appropriate
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed to meet health standards
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues professionally
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or food industry preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation, serving, and sanitation standards
- Experience with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Understanding of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Kitchen or restaurant experience is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
