Maritime Pride Eggs is seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Truck Driver to join our transportation team, someone who will get up early and perform dedicated runs throughout Atlantic Canada. You will be home every night, enjoy employee benefits, RRSP benefits, get paid time off and more.

Maritime Pride Eggs Inc, the largest grading station in Atlantic Canada, packages and distributes eggs to all major chain stores in the Maritimes with our fleet. Our plant is currently expanding to meet the demand in today’s market.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial vehicles to transport goods across various routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and efficient delivery, ensuring our clients receive their shipments on time and in excellent condition.
Duties
- Safely operate trucks for local or long-distance freight delivery, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Coordinate with dispatchers and warehouse staff to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- Follow all safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling.
Skills
- Must have Valid Class 1 Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract.
- Must have 3 Years experience in Canada or the US.
- Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment in a logistics or warehouse environment will be consider an asset.
- Positive attitude when speaking with customers and co-workers.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for record keeping.
- Self motivated with the ability to work independently.
