Infant Toddler Educator job summary
ʔiiḥmisuk t̓aatn̓aʔis Aboriginal Head Start Program is seeking a full-time Infant Toddler Educator who will work closely with parents & other ECE’s to promote a welcoming, supportive, safe environment for parents/caregivers & their children. The IT Educator will develop, implement & supervise activities in a culturally supportive environment to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and developmental needs of the children within the program while establishing routines for children: providing them with positive guidance and nurturing.
What you offer:
- Active/Valid Early Childhood Education Certificate, or Infant/Toddler/Special Needs Diploma
- 1 years or more recent experience as a certified Infant Toddler Educator is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and initiative
- Knowledge of Indigenous history and culture
- Proven experience in the design and implementation of age appropriate program planning and activities
- A desire to learn within a culturally focused program
- A solid understanding and adherence to the Community Care and Assisted Living Act Child Care Licensing Regulations
Job Type: Full-time Monday to Friday
Hourly Rate: $27 to $33.00 per hour plus benefits
