Special T Swine Ltd. is a settled swine farming operation in the heart of Huron County, from farrow to finish we have over 20 years of operational success and a strong organizational & leadership backing we are looking to grow our business and increase our marketspace following Canadian Pork Excellence guidelines. Our company aims to exceed the CPE standards and ensure the ethical treatment of our animals.
Special T Swine is looking for new team members as we are expanding.
We are currently looking to fill 1 full-time, permanent position of a Welder
Job Duties Include:
- Use arc, oxygen/acetylene, MIG, TIG, and/or plasma methods to safely perform welding, cutting, and fabrication functions.
- Complete steel work construction
- Maintenance of on-site and off-site barn locations including repair, replacement, and/or installation of various equipment such as gates, fans, pumps, and other equipment in pig pens. (YOU WILL BE WORKING IN BARNS WITH ANIMALS)
- Coordinate ordering of all shop supplies with main office, maintain a shop inventory.
- Work collaboratively and proactively with management, barn staff, and office staff to ensure a strong maintenance schedule & to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Ability to work independently on projects, managing time and resources effectively.
- Adhere to all biosecurity protocols when moving between barns, work locations, and trucks
Qualifications:
- 2+ years experience and/or certification in Welding
- G level driver's license required
- Leadership experience
- Barn and/or swine experience an asset
- Spanish speaking a definite asses
