de Villars Jones LLP is seeking an assistant to manage the logistical and clerical aspects of a senior lawyer’s busy administrative law practice.

Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
- Providing administrative support to one lawyer
- Corresponding with clients and other counsel directly by telephone, email, and letter
- Editing and proofreading documents
- Maintaining lawyer’s diary and calendar
- Organizing hearings for mediation and arbitration
- Posting lawyer’s time
- Arranging for travel and accommodation via travel agent
- Generating complex invoices
- Posting complex expense reports
- Closing files
- Any other duties, as required
Qualifications:
- Administrative experience (law firm experience considered an asset)
- Experience with Microsoft 365 (eg. Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, Word, Excel)
- Experience with digital document management systems (eg. NetDocuments)
- Experience with digital accounting software (eg. Soluno)
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to handle heavy workload with minimal coaching
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with WordPerfect considered an asset
- An outgoing personality is always a plus!
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $43,000 to $77,000 (negotiable and commensurate with experience)
