Summary Job Profile
The Youth Support Worker (on call) job position is responsible for assisting with supervising and maintaining safety during the drop-in program, as well as the supportive housing facility as required and other responsibilities as identified by the Supervisor/Executive Director.

Reports to: Resource Centre/Housing Supervisor or designate, The Bridge Youth Resource Centre
Contract Position: On-call
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support facilitation and supervision of drop-in services; assist with The Bridge’s food programs including the food pantry, nightly meal/snack ensuring safe food handling guidelines are maintained when required (M-F 2-8:30pm)
- Supervision of supportive housing facility and facilitation of activities and/or job tasks associated as required (all shifts available M-S: 8:30pm-7:30am; 7:30am-2:30pm; 1:30pm-8:30pm)
Education and Experience
- Experience working with youth, working towards diploma in Child and Youth Care or degree in Social Work or other related field
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Mental Health First Aid/ASIST, First Aid & CPR certificates are an asset
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment
- Proficiency in the area of computers and Microsoft Office programs
- Knowledge of adolescent development
- Administrative abilities
Other:
- Satisfactory criminal reference with vulnerable sector check
- Valid “G” Ontario driver’s licence
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings/over-nights as required
- Willingness to obtain safe food handling certification
- Other duties as directed by the Supervisor or designate
