Job Title: PTC Windchill Developer
Location: Canada (Remote)
Duration: 6+ Months
Experience Required: 8+ Years
We are looking for an experienced PTC Windchill Developer to design, develop, customize, and support Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions on the Windchill platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in customization, workflow development, system integrations, and configuration management within manufacturing, engineering, or product development environments.
- Design, develop, and maintain custom solutions on the Windchill platform.
- Configure and customize workflows, lifecycles, business rules, and user interfaces.
- Develop custom applications using Java, JSP, J2EE, Windchill APIs, and REST/Web Services.
- Work with Windchill modules such as PDMLink, ProjectLink, MPMLink, PartsLink, and Change Management.
- Integrate Windchill with enterprise systems such as ERP, MES, CAD, and other engineering tools.
- Develop and support data migration and system integration solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, workflow, and performance-related issues.
- Support system upgrades, patches, migrations, and enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation, design specifications, and deployment procedures.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and production support activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of Windchill development experience (preferably more).

- Technical skills:
- Java, J2EE, JSP
- JavaScript, XML, SQL
- Windchill APIs and customization framework
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with source control and software development best practices.
- Experience with Windchill versions 11.x and/or 12.x.
- Exposure to:
- Info*Engine
- REST APIs
- ThingWorx integration
- CAD tools (Creo, AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Experience in Windchill upgrades and migration projects.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Windchill certifications are a plus.
