The Ledgeview Golf Club, located in Abbotsford BC, is seeking an experienced, organized, motivated, and overall great individual to join our course maintenance team as the Equipment Technician. The successful individual will be an integral part of the maintenance team. Reporting directly to the Golf Course Superintendent, with over 30 years experience, the Equipment Technician is responsible for the general and emergency repair, scheduled preventative maintenance, parts inventory, and organized recording for various maintenance vehicles/equipment/reels. Ledgeview is committed to the continual investment in equipment upgrades and amenities for the maintenance team which already includes a hydraulic equipment/auto lift with 10,000 lb capacity. Roles and Responsibilities
- Maintains the complete Golf Course Maintenance mechanical inventory.
- Establishes a complete preventative maintenance program for all machinery and equipment.
- Keeps thorough written records of all preventative and repair work done for all inventory.
- Integrates into a team environment and helps promote a positive work environment. Specific Tasks
- Inspects, adjusts, diagnoses, and repairs mechanical defects that arise.
- Establishes and performs required preventative maintenance in an organized and timely fashion.
- Grinds all reels, bedknives, and adjusts heights where applicable or replaces when necessary.
- Performs machining or welding when needed.
- Repair and maintenance of golf cart fleet directed by Superintendent when time allows. Qualifications
- Certified small engine mechanic and diesel hydraulic experience or 5 years equivalent shop experience under a qualified journeyman.
- Hydraulic repair experience essential
- Gas and electrical welding essential
- Experience with golf course equipment repair and maintenance including mowers and reels. Compensation and Benefits
