We are a friendly, patient-focused optometry clinic in Lindsay, Ontario, looking for a compassionate and motivated Optometric Assistant to join our team. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional patient care in a welcoming and professional environment.

Responsibilities
● Welcome and assist patients with professionalism and warmth.
● Schedule appointments and manage the daily patient schedule.
● Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries.
● Perform pre-testing, including visual acuity, auto-refraction, OCT, retinal imaging, visual fields, and other diagnostic testing (training provided if needed).
● Assist the optometrist during patient care.
● Process insurance claims and maintain accurate patient records.
● Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinic environment.
Qualifications
● Previous experience in an optometry, ophthalmology, medical, dental, or healthcare office is an asset but not required.
● Excellent communication and customer service skills.
● Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
● Comfortable using computers and electronic medical records.
● Positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Schedule
● Monday and Wednesdays 10-1, Tuesday 8:30 - 3:30 ( or when the doctor finishes last patient), Thursday 9:30-6:30, Fridsay 8:30 - 3:00 pm
● Occasional Saturday rotation (if applicable)
Pay
$21.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
