Overview
We are seeking a talented and personable Nail Technician to join our beauty team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about nail care and customer service, providing clients with exceptional manicure and pedicure services in a welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to showcase your skills, promote retail products, and contribute to clients’ overall beauty and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel nails, acrylics, and other nail enhancements
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and sterilization in all tools and work areas
- Provide personalized consultations to recommend nail treatments and products tailored to client needs
- Upsell retail products such as nail care items, lotions, and polishes to enhance client experience and satisfaction
- Offer body waxing services as part of the service menu (if certified)
- Deliver excellent customer service by creating a relaxing atmosphere and building lasting client relationships
- Keep appointment schedules organized and manage walk-in clients efficiently
- Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and product knowledge through ongoing education
Skills
- Proficiency in nail care techniques including shaping, polishing, gel application, acrylics, and nail art
- Experience or training in body waxing is a plus
- Strong upselling skills to promote retail sales effectively without being pushy
- Excellent communication skills to understand client preferences and provide professional advice
- Commitment to sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Retail sales experience is advantageous for promoting product sales confidently
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
