Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Scaffolder to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and dismantling scaffolding structures on various construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols, blueprint reading, and the ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment. The Scaffolder will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and efficient progress of construction projects, supporting tasks such as concrete forming, masonry, carpentry, and other related activities.
Duties
- Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding according to project specifications and safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine scaffold layout and requirements.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment to assemble scaffolding components securely.
- Assist with related tasks such as concrete forming, masonry work, carpentry, and electrical installations as needed.
- Ensure all scaffolding is inspected regularly for stability and safety before use.
- Coordinate with other tradespeople to facilitate smooth workflow on-site.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal.
- Follow all safety procedures including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as harnesses and helmets.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction, scaffolding, or related trades such as carpentry or masonry.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation.
- Knowledge of concrete forming, concrete finishing, plumbing, electrical work, flooring installation, tile laying, restoration, cabinet installation, construction painting, and masonry is a plus.
- Familiarity with construction estimating and schematics is desirable.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to scaffolding and construction sites.
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds), work at heights safely, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Valid certifications or licenses related to heavy equipment operation or scaffolding are preferred but not mandatory.
