Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable and motivated Warehouse Associate to join our team at a busy pizza manufacturing and distribution facility. In this role, you will support daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, order picking, inventory management, and material handling. The ideal candidate has warehouse experience, is safety-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced food production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely while following all company policies and procedures.
- Organize and store products in designated warehouse locations.
- Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and stock replenishment.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving documentation using warehouse management systems.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices and food safety standards.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Work closely with production, shipping, and receiving teams to meet daily targets.
- Report damaged products, equipment issues, or inventory discrepancies to supervisors.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including GMP and food manufacturing standards.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, or other material handling equipment (certification is an asset).
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400, or similar inventory software is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when picking and packing orders.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is an asset.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the food manufacturing industry is considered an asset.
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced warehouse and food manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to refrigerated and freezer storage areas.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying throughout the shift.
- Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs.
Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour
