Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our transportation team for USA-CANADA rThis role involves operating heavy-duty trucks over long distances to deliver freight safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, knowledge of freight handling, and the ability to operate heavy equipment as needed. A focus on safety, punctuality, and professionalism is essential to ensure timely deliveries and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks over long-distance routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport freight across various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting if issues arise during transit
- Assist with warehouse operations, including freight handling and inventory management when required
- Follow all company policies related to safety, hours of service, and cargo securement
Experience
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- MUST HAVE USA VISA
- Prior experience in long-haul trucking or freight transportation preferred
- Knowledge of forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is a plus
- Familiarity with automotive repair or basic vehicle maintenance is advantageous
- Experience with freight management systems and navigation tools is beneficial
