We are looking for a shop person to work in conjunction with our drilling crews.
Responsibilities and Duties
MAIN DUTIES:.
- Help the driller load and unload the rig in the morning/afternoon for that day's job
- Be able to easily lift 50 lbs
- Follow direction well of the driller/work alongside driller, long hours
- Float a rig to site and back if you have a DZ
- Help to maintain a clean and well-organized repair shop, re-stocking drilling inventory, coordinating with the Shop Manager and Office Manager to ensure required materials for daily operations are kept in sufficient supply.
- Communicate with shop mechanics current state of materials that appear in disrepair and requiring service.
Qualifications and Skills
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- This is a hands-on job, requiring an individual with a working knowledge of tools.
- Equipment and materials related to this company are heavy and will require the use of proper lifting technique at times the use of a forklift will also be required.
- General computer knowledge an asset.
WORKING CONDITIONS: *No agencies*
- Perform physical labor in all sorts of weather, wearing protective equipment.
- Lift and handle heavy equipment associated with the job.
- Some noise and vibration may require the use of ear plugs and other related safety devices.
- The number of working hours depends on the completion times, minimum 40 hours per week. The hours may be irregular because of job requirements.
- Safety training will be provided.
