Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Supervisor to oversee daily store operations and lead a team towards achieving sales goals and delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, along with a comprehensive understanding of retail management. Duties
- Supervise daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies
- Lead, motivate, and manage retail staff through effective team management, training & development, and performance evaluations
- Oversee merchandising activities, including product placement, pricing strategies, and inventory purchasing to maximize sales
- Manage POS systems, cashiering procedures, and cash handling processes with accuracy and integrity
- Conduct recruiting efforts such as interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees
- Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping, and administrative tasks related to store management
- Develop and implement marketing initiatives to attract customers and increase sales
- Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare reports, and analyze data for strategic planning
- Maintain excellent customer service standards by addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Oversee store budgeting, pricing adjustments, and sales management to meet financial targets
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized store environment
Skills
- Strong leadership abilities with proven supervising experience in retail or related fields
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus
- Proficiency in POS systems, cashiering, cash handling, and bookkeeping software
- Skilled in merchandising, pricing strategies, sales management, and marketing techniques
- Effective team management skills including recruiting, training & development, and performance evaluation
- Sound organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Competence in negotiation, purchasing decisions, budgeting, and store management operations
- Customer service excellence with professional phone etiquette and conflict resolution skills
- Strong math skills for sales calculations, pricing adjustments, and financial reporting
- Ability to manage time effectively while overseeing multiple responsibilities simultaneously
