Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Hook Lift Truck Driver to join our Demolition team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating hook lift trucks to transport and load materials efficiently and safely. This role requires a strong focus on safety, heavy lifting, and precise driving skills to ensure timely delivery and proper handling of cargo. Responsibilities
- Operate hook lift trucks to load, unload, and transport materials between locations.
- Safely secure loads using appropriate equipment and techniques to prevent shifting during transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring all safety features are functional.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding schedules and any issues encountered during routes.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks as needed, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly to maintenance teams.
Skills
- Proven experience operating hook lift trucks or similar heavy-duty vehicles.
- Strong driving skills with a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL).
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Excellent knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for commercial vehicle operation.
- Good communication skills for effective coordination with team members and dispatchers.
- Attention to detail in inspecting equipment and maintaining accurate logs.
- Ability to work independently while adhering to safety standards and schedules. This role is vital for maintaining efficient logistics operations while prioritizing safety and professionalism in every task performed.
Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
