Job Overview
Papa Johns is seeking a dedicated Tray Washer to join our Quality Control Center (QCC). This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards of our equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for food preparation. The Tray Washer will be responsible for thoroughly cleaning trays and related items, supporting the overall quality and hygiene of our operations. Prior custodial or commercial cleaning experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated candidates committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Duties
- Operate dishwashing equipment to clean dough trays effectively
- Ensure all trays and items are sanitized according to company health standards
- Maintain cleanliness of the tray washing area, including floors and surrounding surfaces
- Follow proper safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Assist in organizing and storing cleaned trays for easy access during food preparation
- Support other cleaning tasks around the warehouse as needed to uphold sanitation standards
Qualifications
- Previous custodial or commercial cleaning experience is a plus
- Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks with attention to detail
- Strong commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle cleaning equipment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow safety protocols consistently
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS
- High school or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Food handling certification preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the team member is required to use hands repetitively, stand for long periods of time, walk, grasp firmly/strongly and/or simply/lightly with hands, and use fine finger dexterity. The team member is frequently required to bend over, twist, reach above shoulder level, crouch or stoop, kneel, repetitively use feet, and use head and neck in a twisting or static motion and to look up and/or down, and lift and/or move up to 20 Kg.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Essential functions are performed in a distribution/manufacturing environment and in accordance with PJ Food Service safety policies/guidelines. Exposure to extreme heat and cold. Exposure to high noise levels.

- The schedule for this position is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday. The start time is 7:30 am. Hours may vary from time to time to accommodate the needs of the business.
