Join the team behind one of UPEI's busiest dining destinations. Wanda Wyatt Dining Hall is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, and customer-focused Front of House Supervisor to help lead our dining room operations and create an exceptional experience for students, faculty, staff, and guests.
About the Role
As the Front of House Supervisor, you will oversee the daily front-of-house operations, ensuring excellent customer service, efficient service flow, and a welcoming dining environment. Working alongside the Food Service Director and culinary team, you will provide leadership, coach employees, and help maintain the high standards our guests expect.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will supervise front-of-house staff throughout each shift while providing guidance and support to ensure smooth daily operations. You will help coordinate service, respond to customer concerns professionally, and maintain a clean, organized, and inviting dining room. You'll also assist with training new team members, monitor food stations to ensure they remain fully stocked and well presented, and work closely with the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience. Opening and closing responsibilities, supporting campus events, and ensuring all food safety and workplace safety standards are followed are also important parts of this position.
Qualifications
We're looking for someone with previous leadership or supervisory experience in food service, hospitality, or retail who enjoys working with people and leading by example. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and able to remain calm in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to motivate a team are essential. Food Safety Certification is considered an asset, and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required is expected.
