Role Overview
The Driver represents iCAD Dental to clients and stakeholders, ensuring the safe and timely transport of dental products, materials, and equipment. This role requires professionalism, reliability, and a commitment to excellent service.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport dental products, materials, and equipment to designated locations, following prescribed routes and schedules.
- Ensure the secure packaging and loading of dental shipments onto vehicles, utilizing appropriate handling techniques and safety precautions to prevent damage or loss.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles, checking for any mechanical issues, damage, or safety hazards, and reporting any discrepancies to management.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including recipient signatures, delivery times, and any special instructions or comments provided by clients.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and clients to coordinate delivery schedules, address any delivery-related issues or concerns, and provide updates on delivery status as needed.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards while operating company vehicles, including speed limits, parking restrictions, and seatbelt usage, to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of shipments at delivery locations, using proper lifting and handling techniques to prevent injuries and minimize the risk of damage to products or property.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of company vehicles, including interior and exterior surfaces, ensuring a professional and presentable appearance at all times.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks on company vehicles, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and cleanliness, and reporting any maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Uphold a positive and professional image of the company, demonstrating excellent customer service skills and representing our values of reliability, integrity, and professionalism.
