Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will operate manual lathes and milling machines, to produce precision parts according to specifications. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, , and the ability to read blueprints. The Machinist will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards and efficient production processes while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Operate manual equipment such as lathe and milling machines with precision and efficiency
- operate drill presses and alignboring equipment
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and sample models to produce accurate parts
- Set up machining tools and fixtures, ensuring proper calibration using calipers and other hand tools
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to minimize downtime
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and forklifts as needed for assembly and fabrication tasks
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste
- Conduct quality inspections of finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following safety standards and protocols
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Machinist or in a similar manufacturing role with mechanical knowledge of machining processes
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, basic math skills, and measurement techniques
- Experience operating manual lathe and milling machines in a manufacturing setting
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, forklifts, and assembly processes
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills
Pay: $27.00-$45.00 per hour
