GP Commercial Food Equipment & Services is a locally owned business, serving the Peace Region in our 15th year of business! We are on the search to add an additional full-time member who enjoys a customer focused, fast-paced, team environment.
This technician is working on commercial kitchen equipment all across Northern Alberta & BC - such as espresso machines, commercial coffee brewers, ovens, steamers, refrigeration displays, Coolers/Freezers, frozen beverage equipment, deep fryers, dishwashers, coffee equipment, and other restaurant kitchen equipment.
Skills and Qualifications
● Mechanical, Plumbing, and Electrical Experience
● Being able to use a multimeter for testing voltages ohm
● Electronics Troubleshooting
● Able to work in a fast-paced environment with good people skills as you interact with customers
● Personal tools required - A list will be given at the interview stage. Some tools will be provided for specific machinery.
● Class 5 License (Work vehicle will be provided during work hours)
● Clean drivers abstract
● Applicants must be a Canadian resident in the Grande Prairie area or Canadian resident willing to relocate to GP
Service Technician Duties
● Keeps new and existing customer equipment operating by following operating manuals, troubleshooting, maintaining supplies and performing preventative maintenance
● Perform installation and repairs of Commercial Kitchen Equipment
● Troubleshoot equipment issues and communicate with tech support to properly repair the equipment
● Performing tests on equipment and calibrating to correct specs
● Ordering and gathering components and parts; recommending system improvements to existing machines
● Communication with office staff when parts are required or a quote is required
● Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and
records
● Ensuring unused parts are returned into the shop each night in good condition
● In shop duties will include: keeping shop tidy, and helping with shipping and receiving
● Keeping track of any maintenance needed to work vehicle, informing management
