Duties
- Monitor security cameras and surveillance systems (CCTV) to oversee activity across the premises continuously.
- Control access for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, verifying identification and issuing passes as needed.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property, including entrances, exits, parking areas, and sensitive zones to detect suspicious activity or safety hazards.
- Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, coordinating with emergency responders when necessary.
- Perform loss prevention measures by inspecting for theft or vandalism and reporting any irregularities immediately.
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches for record-keeping and reporting purposes.
- Enforce company policies and safety protocols to uphold a secure environment for all personnel.
Requirements
- Proven experience in law enforcement or security roles is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and CCTV operation.
- Ability to remain alert and vigilant during long shifts while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Excellent observational skills with an eye for detail in identifying potential threats or hazards.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with team members, visitors, and emergency responders.
- Physical fitness to perform patrols that may include standing, walking, or sitting for extended periods.
- Must have a valid security license .
- First aid certificate is an asset.
