Labrador Trucking Inc. is a family-owned and operated hauling and delivery company serving Fredericton, Oromocto, Hanwell, Waasis, Rusagonis, Northside, and surrounding areas. We specialize in residential and small commercial deliveries of gravel, sand, topsoil, mulch, and landscaping materials, and are expanding into landscaping preparation and driveway reconstruction services.
We’re looking for a hardworking, dependable team member to join our growing operation.
Position Overview
This is a hands-on seasonal position ideal for someone experienced in trucking and heavy equipment who enjoys variety and takes pride in quality work.
The successful candidate will operate both our tandem dump truck and 1-ton dump truck for small-load deliveries, while also assisting with skid steer work for landscaping and site preparation projects.
This position includes weekend work.
Responsibilities
- Operate tandem dump truck for residential material deliveries (5-14.5 ton)
- Operate 1-ton dump truck for small load deliveries (1-4 ton)
- Perform daily pre-trip inspections and vehicle checks
- Maintain delivery log
- Safely load, transport and unload materials
- Communicate professionally with customers on site
- Follow company safety policies and operating procedures
- Operate skid steer for:
- Ground Preparation
- Driveway reconstruction
- Topsoil Spreading
- Landscaping Preparation
Requirements
- Valid Class 3 License with air brake endorsement
- Clean drivers abstract
- No drugs or alcohol (random drug testing will be performed)
- Previous skid steer experience required
- Experience in trucking and landscaping
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work occasional weekends
