Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Siding Installer to join our construction team. This role involves installing various types of siding on residential and commercial buildings, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, carpentry, and working with hand tools, with a focus on exterior cladding installation. Responsibilities
- Measure and prepare surfaces for siding installation according to project specifications and blueprints
- Use hand tools and power tools to cut, shape, and install siding materials accurately
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans to ensure proper installation
- Perform heavy lifting of siding panels, insulation, and related materials safely and efficiently
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure weatherproofing and a finished appearance
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment at all times
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule and meet quality standards
- Assist with other carpentry or handyman tasks as needed on job sites
Qualifications
- Proven experience in siding installation or related construction work
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and basic carpentry techniques
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Strong knowledge of caulking, weatherproofing, and exterior finishing techniques
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions
- Prior experience with blueprint reading and general handyman skills is preferred
- Construction or carpentry background is highly desirable
- Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is a plus
