Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The Sonographer will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and possess excellent technical skills to produce high-quality images. Duties
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture diagnostic images of internal organs, tissues, and blood flow.
- Analyze images for clarity, accuracy, and completeness, ensuring they meet diagnostic standards.
- Maintain detailed records of procedures performed and images obtained in patient files.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to interpret results and provide insights.
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Keep ultrasound equipment clean, calibrated, and in proper working condition.
- Stay current with advancements in sonography technology and techniques through ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Certification or licensure as a Sonographer from an accredited program.
- CMRITO certificate required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging.
- Proven experience performing ultrasound examinations is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates willing to learn.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce precise and high-quality images.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining procedures and collaborating with healthcare professionals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to healthcare regulations and standards.
