Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our veterinary team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, assist veterinarians with medical procedures, and ensure the well-being of our animal patients. Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed
- Perform laboratory tests including blood work, urinalysis, and other diagnostic procedures
- Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery during surgical procedures
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient files regularly
- Provide client education on animal health, nutrition, and preventive care
- Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment and treatment areas
- Support kennel management by caring for hospitalized or recovering animals
Qualifications
- Valid license as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
- Laboratory experience is preferred to enhance diagnostic capabilities
- Strong knowledge of veterinary medical practices and procedures
- Excellent communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine love for animals
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior experience working in a veterinary setting is advantageous but not required; training will be provided as needed
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
