Purpose
Under general supervision, the Tool Crib Attendant is responsible for operating and maintaining the Tool Crib and performing related work as required. Following 6S program guidelines regarding organizing, maintaining and categorizing tooling. Tool Crib Attendant will be tasked with the receipt, storage and issuance of materials in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Minor repair to air, hand and power tooling will be a daily requirement, to ensure a safe and productive environment. Must possess a strong attention to detail, be detail oriented, and be able to work independently, with little to no supervision.
Accountabilities

Strong commitment and adherence to all Safety Policies and Procedures.

Hand, power and hydraulic tool repair

Issue tools and equipment to maintenance personnel while recording the issues and returns.

File, record and update inventory and record tools received from the warehouse.

Inspect new and repaired tools and equipment for proper operation.

Perform inventory as required.

Perform necessary preventive maintenance and repairs on tools and equipment.

Perform general cleanup, clerical or maintenance work incidental to the operation of the tool crib.

Demonstrate continuous efforts to improve shop and tool crib areas

Assist with others with activities as required including but not limited to steam cleaning

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
- High school diploma or GED Certificate is preferred; additional preference will be given for vocational, technical and community college, or apprentice programs

Must be able to apply basic logic to perform minor repairs on portable hand and power tooling, and have the drive to learn additional tasks

Good knowledge of machine shop and mechanical maintenance tools and their repair, including power, pneumatic, hydraulic tooling

Ability to communicate orally and in writing

Basic computer knowledge required

Knowledge of SAP is considered an asset

Experience operating equipment, loaders, skid steers, forklifts, Telehandlers required

Must have detailed experience or training on hand and power tool repair
The expected salary range for this role is CA$$39.96/hr . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
