Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires a proactive approach to security, with responsibilities ranging from monitoring premises to responding to incidents. A strong background in security practices and law enforcement is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to incidents, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
- Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement as needed in the event of an emergency.
- Document incidents and prepare reports for management review, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
- Engage in conflict management techniques to de-escalate potential disturbances effectively.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on security protocols and best practices.
Skills
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, including report writing.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Physical ability to stand, sit and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to pass a security clearance and obtain a security license
Requirements:
- Valid Drivers License
- Must have their own car
- Valid First Aid/CPR, Non Violet Crisis Intervention, Use of force, Mental Health First Aid Trainings are an asset
- No Criminal Background
