As a Park Clerk, you'll play a vital role on the park team, ensuring visitors have a enjoyable experience while contributing to the conservation and enjoyment of our natural heritage.
In this role, you will provide:
- Customer Service: Assist with registration, concession stand operations, and inquiries.
- Revenue Management: Handle cash transactions, manage cash flow, prepare deposits, and process refunds. Manage inventory and sales.
- Training and Guidance: Train and orient students, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to procedures.
- Clerical Services: Answer customer inquiries, process mail, maintain files, and prepare forms. Use office equipment and software.

Please Note the successful candidate will be expected to:
- obtain a valid emergency first aid certificate
- You must have a valid class G driver's license or equivalent, as recognized by the Province of Ontario. The offer of employment is conditional on the successful candidate providing proof that they have a valid driver's license before being hired.
- Knowledge of customer service standards, including in-person interactions and telephone etiquette.
- Communication skills to convey information, discuss and resolve issues or complaints, and respond to inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to provide guidance and feedback to students during training and orientation.
- Knowledge of standard office methods and procedures.
- Proficiency in operating office equipment such as Microsoft Office applications and the Provincial Parks Reservation System.
- Organizational skills to plan and coordinate tasks.
- Familiarity with general sales, revenue, and accounting business practices.
- Proficiency in managing cash floats, reconciling cash flow, preparing bank deposits, processing refunds and managing inventory.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and assess the urgency of inquiries or situations.
- Ability to resolve issues and exercise self-directed judgment but also refer complex issues to supervisors when necessary.
