Paradise is looking for an experienced Aluminum Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team in Vernon, BC.
We manufacture high-quality aluminum docks, hydraulic boat lifts, and related marine products. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding, fabricating, assembling, and finishing aluminum components in accordance with production drawings and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- MIG weld aluminum components used in boat lifts, docks, and marine equipment
- Fabricate and assemble aluminum frames, beams, brackets, and structural components
- Read and interpret shop drawings, measurements, and fabrication instructions
- Measure, cut, drill, fit, and prepare aluminum parts for welding
- Set up and adjust welding equipment for different materials and thicknesses
- Inspect completed welds and assemblies for strength, appearance, dimensions, and quality
- Use grinders, saws, drills, presses, hand tools, and other shop equipment
- Assist with final assembly and installation of manufactured products
- Identify drawing, material, or fabrication issues before components are completed
- Maintain an organized and safe work area
- Follow company safety procedures and production standards
- Assist in other areas of production when required
Qualifications
- Previous aluminum MIG welding and fabrication experience is required
- Ability to produce clean, consistent, and structurally sound aluminum welds
- Ability to read and understand fabrication drawings
- Strong measuring, fitting, and layout skills
- Experience using common fabrication and shop equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a productive work pace
- Ability to safely lift and handle materials in a manufacturing environment
- Forklift, overhead crane, rigging, or mechanical assembly experience is an asset
- TIG welding experience is an asset
