Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food items, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong multitasking skills, and a positive attitude to ensure a welcoming experience for all customers.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards
- Operate cash registers, handle cash and credit card transactions with precision
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
- Assist in food handling, storage, and restocking supplies as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues professionally
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food industry standards
Skills
- Experience in food preparation and food service environments preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS and cashiering skills
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation practices
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations for transactions
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Kitchen or restaurant experience is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance sales opportunities
- Friendly demeanor with a team-oriented attitude focused on delivering quality service
Pay: $18.25-$19.25 per hour
