Crane Services Limited is seeking a Commercial Roofing Foreman to join our team in St. John’s, Newfoundland.
This position is ideal for an experienced roofer or crew leader who is ready to take the next step into a leadership role. The successful candidate will be responsible for running commercial roofing projects, leading crews on site, maintaining safety and quality standards, and helping ensure jobs are completed efficiently and professionally.
We will train the right person on how we do things. We are looking for someone with strong roofing knowledge, good leadership ability, and the work ethic to take ownership of projects from start to finish.
Crane Services Limited is a local commercial roofing company specializing in roofing systems built for Newfoundland’s harsh climate. Our work includes commercial roof replacements, repairs, maintenance, and retrofit applications, with a strong focus on quality workmanship and doing the job right.

Key responsibilities
- Lead commercial roofing crews on active job sites
- Oversee daily project activities and keep work moving efficiently
- Coordinate labour, materials, equipment, and jobsite organization
- Install, repair, and replace commercial roofing systems as needed
- Train and direct crew members on proper procedures and quality standards
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company expectations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site
- Communicate clearly with management regarding job progress, site conditions, and any issues that arise
- Help ensure projects are completed on schedule and to a high standard of workmanship
Qualifications
- Experience in commercial roofing is required
- Leadership or foreman experience is an asset
- Experience with TPO, EPDM, and other flat roofing systems is an asset
- Strong understanding of safe roofing practices and jobsite awareness
- Ability to lead a crew, solve problems, and keep jobs on track
- Reliable, organized, and able to take responsibility
- Comfortable working at heights and in a physically demanding environment
- Fall protection and other safety certifications are assets
- Valid driver’s license is an asset
- Willingness to travel for certain projects if required
