Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. Experience in retail sales or merchandising are highly valued, along with proficiency in OLG lotto sales, tobacco sales, and cash handling. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases
- Operate POS systems efficiently for processing transactions
- Handle cash, credit, and digital payments accurately
- Provide product information and conduct product demos when needed
- Upsell items to enhance customer experience and store sales
- Maintain organized checkout areas and ensure merchandise is properly displayed
- Manage customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism
- Assist with merchandising tasks to keep the sales floor attractive and stocked
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and store procedures during all transactions
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure efficient service
