Northridge Dental Clinic is seeking a compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team for a maternity leave coverage. This position will be available at the end of June/early July.
In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional patient care by providing thorough dental cleanings, patient education, and preventive services. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and ensure a positive experience for every patient. Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to inform treatment plans.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to enhance their understanding and engagement.
- Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Tracker, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless workflow, infection control standards, and proper documentation review for legal and insurance purposes.
Experience
- Registered Dental Hygienist in BC
- Familiarity with Tracker is highly desirable
- New grads welcome!
