Direct Bore Inc. is a leading utility infrastructure contractor specializing in directional drilling, delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality underground installations across Ontario.
We are currently hiring an Aerial Lineman to join our growing telecommunications team. This is a hands-on field position ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in the telecommunications and utility construction industry.
The successful candidate will work alongside experienced crews assisting with aerial fibre construction, cable placement, and telecommunications infrastructure installation throughout Eastern and Central Ontario.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with installation and placement of telecommunications cable on aerial infrastructure
- Work safely at heights using ladders, climbing gear, and bucket trucks
- Learn and perform pole climbing using spurs
- Read and follow construction drawings and work plans
- Maintain and properly use fall protection and safety equipment
- Support Foremen and field crews with aerial construction activities
- Work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to travel throughout Eastern and Central Ontario is required (up to 50% travel)
Requirements:
- Valid G Driver’s License required
- DZ License considered an asset
- Comfortable working at heights
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labour
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Telecommunications, hydro, or utility experience considered an asset
- Safety-conscious with strong attention to detail
- Ability to travel and stay out of town when required
