Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing concrete surfaces to meet project specifications, ensuring high-quality results on a variety of commercial and residential projects. This role requires a strong understanding of concrete finishing techniques, as well as proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and blueprint reading. Candidates should possess a solid background in construction and masonry work, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and shaping freshly poured concrete using hand tools and power tools.
- Install rebar and formwork according to schematics and blueprints to prepare for concrete pouring.
- Operate heavy equipment such as mixers, screeds, and other machinery necessary for concrete placement.
- Perform masonry tasks including caulking, restoration, and flooring installation as needed.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of projects.
- Handle heavy lifting and assist with the movement of materials around the job site safely.
- Conduct repairs and touch-ups on existing concrete surfaces during renovation or restoration projects.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with carpenters, welders, and other trades to coordinate project tasks efficiently.
Experience
- Proven experience in concrete finishing, masonry, or related construction fields.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems related to heavy equipment operation.
- Familiarity with rebar installation, concrete forming, and blueprint reading.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and flooring installation techniques.
- Experience with schematics and technical drawings for renovation or restoration projects is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on multiple projects involving concrete finishing or related trades such as caulking or flooring installation.
- Prior construction experience with a focus on quality craftsmanship in concrete finishing is highly desirable.

Pay: $22.28-$40.47 per hour
